Aims & objectives:
Children:
To provide opportunity for involvement in a social setting that offers scope for leisure activity; promote personal development; relieve tension and energy in a fun and positive way, while furthering access to educational possibilities.
Parents:
To present time and place to focus on the positive aspects of their child’s abilities; while also benefiting from physical activity leading to stress relief, fun and positive parent child bonding. To offer social networking and mutual support gained from working alongside other parents of autistic children.
Developmental play / movement aims:
Encourage increased eye contact
Promote crossing the mid line
Strengthen sequencing skills

Please note:
Places are available by request via a waiting list / rota system
- Children may be aged between 5 – 10 years old
- There must be 1 to 1 support per every child attending class (i.e. carer, teacher or parent)
- Maximum number of children attending class: 8
- Please no siblings or extra adults attending, to help maintain a calm atmosphere & focus on child with learning disability
- All participants should wear loose comfortable clothing that is easy to move in, including the adults. Layers are best.
- Children dance bare foot and adults are advised to follow suit or wear soft soled / flat, non slip footwear
- Please bring non-fizzy drinks for break times
